It is therefore natural that for the 10th year, Fred began to practice Trail, a discipline that alternates walking🚶‍♂️ and running 🏃‍♂️in natural environments requiring an iron mind! He took up many challenges (GR20, Montblanc, Tour Thur, UTHK, Munster Trail, …). Throughout his exploits, the gamberge idea in his head: “and why not the Ultra of GRR (Grand Raid de la Réunion) or also called LA DIAGONALE DES FOUS? 🧐”
2900 madmen attacking almost 170kms and 10,000 D +.

The challenge is launched! Throughout the year 2019, Fred completed the races allowing him to obtain the number of points necessary for his registration. His participation is validated! Now you have to train!

Fred has established his program:
– training 3 to 4 times a week (4h-6h of running, split with elevation differences, 3-4h of mountain biking)
– 1 race per month.

The first race took place this Saturday, Le Trail blanc du Gaschney: 18kms and 750m vertical drop in 2h19. 👏 👏 “Not very white rather very muddy and very rainy.” dixit Fred.
