📸 A new line of business at Coué/TRM for the past month, further expanding our range of expertise: bulk tanker transport of animal feed directly to farms.

Bulk transport refers to the delivery of unpackaged goods — that is, cargo shipped in large quantities without individual packaging (no boxes, no pallets). We differentiate between solid bulk (such as grains, aggregates, minerals or fertilizers) and liquid bulk, which requires the use of specialized tankers for products like fuels, food-grade liquids (wine, oils), or industrial effluents.

Bulk animal feed transport is a demanding and precise operation that fits perfectly within our strategy of delivering high-value, quality-driven services.

Here’s a look back at our participation on March 20 in the presentation of the project to build and manage the Rail Route multimodal transport platform by 2026, an ambitious initiative supported by Laval Économie, Laval Agglomération, Groupe Charles André CGA, and carried out in collaboration with Transports BREGER and Lahaye Global Logistics.

📍 Located in Saint Berthevin (53), this future multimodal platform will enable semi-trailers to board trains directly, offering an innovative logistics solution and actively contributing to the decarbonization of transport. By significantly reducing CO₂ emissions, this project marks a major step towards a more environmentally friendly supply chain.

🌍Proven expertise
Our commitment to modal shift is nothing new! In 2012, we were already involved in the development of the Rennes terminal, linking Western France to the South-East by rail. This experience gives us a solid grasp of the issues and solutions involved in high-performance multimodal logistics.

Stategic Realignment of Maritime Alliances in 2025 : HAPAG Joins MAERSK to Form “The Gemini Cooperation”

Maritime alliances play a crucial role in the shipping industry, bringing together multiple carriers to optimize their operations on key trade routes worldwide. These cooperation agreements allow members to combine their strengths to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and provide broader coverage to their customers.

In 2025, the landscape of maritime alliances will undergo a significant transformation. HAPAG, one of the major players in the industry, has announced its departure from “THE Alliance,” to which it has been affiliated until now. This separation will take effect in January 2025, marking the end of a strategic collaboration spanning several years.

Our mission : the complete dismanting and transfer of a production line to Brazil!

📅 A look back at this project, which began just over a year ago, with the major challenge of complying with various packaging, customs, maritime and land standards.

Our SOTECAN INTERNATIONAL entity took on the complete management of the project:
✅ Case packing 📦 in compliance with “ISPM15” standards,
✅ Overland transport 🚛 with part in Category 1 exceptional convoy
✅ Customs formalities 📄
✅ Sea transport 🚢 with a 40’HC container, but also a FLAT RACK container to the port of ITAPOA in Brazil.

Mission accomplished 👍 The containers, which left from 📍 Le Havre, are currently sailing for 📍 Brazil !

✨ Congratulations to all our 🤝 Coué-TRM-SOTECAN teams, who successfully met the challenge despite all the specificities of the dossier.

📅 At the start of the 2024 school year, a factory in Brazil will be operating with a production line transported by our various entities.
